TAIJITU

Balance in contrast.

Decorative wall piece handcrafted from natural wood, carefully sanded and hand-painted. Inspired by the Taijitu symbol, the origin of the yin and yang concept, this artwork embodies the duality between light and shadow, the organic and the geometric. Its faceted relief and interplay of black and white tones create a harmonious composition that invites contemplation and visual balance in any space.

Each shape seems to emerge or fade depending on the light that touches it, evoking a sense of movement and depth. Taijitu is not only an aesthetic object, but also a reminder of the unity between opposites: calm and energy, order and chaos, the natural and the abstract.

The Power of Generative Design

The TAIJITU piece emerges from a generative modeling process created in Grasshopper, a tool that enables the exploration of infinite variations from a single geometric system. Every adjusted parameter subtly transforms the shape, the balance between light and shadow, or the proportion of each element.

This approach turns every outcome into a unique and unrepeatable piece, where the final aesthetic arises from the dialogue between control and randomness.
A fusion of mathematical logic and artistic expression that redefines the boundaries of contemporary handcrafted design.
